Is there any way to get the back windows of a 2003 crew cab to go down all the way instead of 2/3 or so?

 

i want to know the same thing. its hard for my buddies to hang out the back window when spotlighting!!! haha

 

Yeah I kinda hate the fact that they don't go down all the way

 

Yeah we've had a discussion on this before, the bottom of the door curves in so the window can't do down any further.

Yeah I thought it would be nice too. But then again Im never the one in my passenger seats so I dont have to worry about it haha.

I think the actual problem is that the window parts were stolen from the expedition. If you look at the expedition rear doors, they curve to accommodate the wheel wells, so the windows can only go down so far. I would guess that there is enough room in our doors for the windows to go all the way down since our rear doors don't have that curve. I'm not sure what all it would entail, but with some time and talent, I think it would be possible. Maybe retrofit the scissors, motor, etc from the front windows? It is pretty annoying that they don't go down all the way.
