Update on the rebuilt motor.
i don’t drive it very often but it has maybe 5,000 miles on it now at it runs like a dream. Ppl say it sounds louder and I’m just impressed with how smooth and precise it is. I drive around with a Bluetooth OBDII reader hooked to my phone and it monitors everything and gives me an estimated HP valves. Highest I’ve seen is 202HP another program I use doesn’t estimate HP but it does do torque and it estimates it’s doing 282ft/lb of torque. I wanna say those numbers are low cause factory claims higher numbers but when I hook it to my uncle’s Eco Boost it hits the factory HP And TQ rating. He likes to razz me up about it but the grumbling of my V8 really makes him jealous. He will remote start his all the time because one time it started up and it sounded pretty mean but I’ve never heard it. And then when we go out onto the back roads he’s worried about the rocks and branches scratching his fresh paint while I bomb the hills at speed.
