Default Another Seat Thread

I have a 2000 F150 XL with front bench seats.

Honestly I dont care about the back seat.

My question:

What seats will 100% work with the holes and little to no modifications for a front seat swap?

Ideally, I want to switch from bench to captains chairs with an arm rest.

I know there are plastic hole covers that I will have to locate an uncover.

I LOVE 2005 seats. They're comfortable. I have the cash and access to seats - I just need to know what kind of seats will work for sure.

Thanks!!!

Buckets from our style F150 or expeditions (03-06?) will fit. Note that the seat belts in my Lariat are on the seat where are your XLT seats are likely not. Maybe a bolt or 2 won't fit, but who needs them all?

Newer generation seats won't line up.

My 89 didn't have all the bolts...I learned that when my dad was driving and I was riding shotgun lol.

Great! I'm happy to hear that. So 03-06 will line up fine - and seat belts will work.

Any idea how easy getting the center console to line up will be?

To be clear - 03 is the last year of f150 seats that will work. I thought the expeditions went longer, but maybe not. 04 and up style f150 will not bolt up.

I have 05 f250 buckets and center console in my 98 regular cab. They weren't a bolt in deal but it wasn't too bad to drill, bend and use spacers to make them fit

'04 and up wire harnesses would also have to be modified, in addition to the bolt pattern changes needed. The '04 and up seats are wider in general. Don't rule out Navigator buckets, too! But be ready to have these recovered - just about every part-out on Craigslist has worn seats - but good platforms for recovering/restoring.

any seats from 06 and early will fit. I have 06 expo limited seats in my 97. There are no modifications needed. Seats them selfs are wider but the mounting frame is not. If pictures are need I can take them. To use 04-06 seats you do need spacers under the left rear post of the drivers seat and right rear of the passenger seat to keep from twisting the track.

Where can I get spacers?

I would love nothing more than to get 05 F150 seats in my 00 F150. I dont even need electronics as I rarely move my seat.
