Alright everyone, I have been reading for hours on this forum and others about lifts, and still feel unsure about the route I want to go. Here is a little information.

243,000 miles

I am about to order Upper and Lower Control Arms for both sides as well as inner and outer Tie Rods and Bilstein 4600 shocks all around. All of these will be Moog parts. I have 285-70/17 tires and scrub a little when turning one way. I lowered the rear with shackles around 140k miles to give it a level look, but have recently bought a boat and with the bigger tires plan on putting the stock shackles back on and wanting to lift the front end a little to level it out. My initial thought was the 1.5" lift springs. I understand with over 2" springs longer control arms are needed. Also, I travel a lot for work, and do not want to sacrafice ride quality a terrible amount or cause a ton of premature wear if possible. What do you guys think about this, or should I just go with the spindle lift, and AAL or block for the rear. Thanks!

 

Spindle. You said you don't want premature wear and factory ride quality. If that's true than spindles the only option.

 

Would I be able to use the factory height 4600 shocks with it? And I really hate to lift the rear with a block, I think AAL would be my only other option, any recommendations on who to go with there?

 

No. Rough country makes shocks long enough. You could aal though. I used a block though. I bought the RC kit with spindle all around shocks and blocks

 

I just don't care for rough country to be honest, haven't had good experience with them in parts for my jeep, and would much rather have bilstein shocks. And if I go with the spindles I'll get the Doestch ones.

 

I believe fabtec also makes a 3" spindle.

 

So, long story short, if I get the lift spindles and lift the rear any, I will need lift/longer shocks?

 

Yes. You will need longer shocks.

 

Yes just get 4600's for a 4wd. You will only be lifting the rear about a 1" at most.

 

The Rc kit came with 2" blocks for it to be level.
