Default Another HID question

I know there are a bunch of threads already on here but I searched and couldn't find the answer I was looking for. Right now I have lightning style headlights and not real happy with the amount of light they put out. I really want to get HIDs but from what I can tell, they wont work well in my headlamps...? I have heard about retrofitting the lights but I don't really know anything about that. Anyone have any experience with this that can help me out with what to do

On my 99 I had the Harley heads and 6000k hids in them and the fogs and it lit up the roads really well! I never had a problem with them and they worked great for me

I have 6000k hids in my lightning headlights I got a couple weeks ago, when I got mine, they were aimed down to the point I couldn't see anything on a pitch black road, so I aimed them up, which is probably what you will have to do, and now they are as bright as day .

as said above, you will have to install them and adjust to your prefrence. i have lightning heads and 8K's now and at first i was dissappointed but after i adjusted them they are great. projectors will make the best of HID's but they are still great in the L housings. you dont want them at all in the stock housing though. theres a kid in my town with HID's in his stock housings and not only is it ugly as cow ****, it scatters the beam everywhere and there is no single projected pattern. its like a shotgun at 50 yards compared to a centerfire rifle

Ended up going with 35 watt 6ks from hidnation.com on sale for 38 bucks. Haven't drove it much but the output is deffinitely better even tho they still need adjusted a bit.
But if I wanted to retrofit down the road how exactly is that done? Anyone have a how to link?

Thank you sir, and yes I will. It's not too bad, just time consuming. Well worth it though.
