I no longer have the 285's but no one is the wiser that I trimmed the mudflap and front plastic. You can't see it...

I have 265's on my truck now and they just look too small.. I could fit the 285s with a tbar crank but was unsure about the width of the 33's (12.5). Just wanted a bigger, more aggressive tire but not have to do any major trimming. I guess the only way i'll find out for sure is to put the front tires on when they come in and and see if and how bad they rub

A little different model truck but back in the day I had a 97 F150 Ext cab 4x4, T-bars turned up to level, 285/70R17 BFG M/T, 17x10 American Racing Atlas wheels and from what I can remember I had no rubbing issues, I drove around with that setup for 2 years. I know for a fact I never did any trimming and I believe the offset was a -12.

So you know I won't have any rubbing issues even with my wheels..? That was my only concern.. Don't want to start hacking my valence in order to fit some tires. Just wanted an idea before even going into the tire shop because they're some expensive tires.

Hacking your valence is no big deal. You can't even tell...

Must have cleared with those rims being 10in wide..? I think I've figured out that I will need to trim the valence just a little bit.. about a half inch because of my wheels..

So trimming like a half inch isn't anything..? That's what i'll probably have to do. Just gotta trim the inside of the lower bottom half, right?

Thanks Tackle.. I tried looking for the answer for a month going through threads and doing my research but didn't find anything that would help me out for sure. I'm glad I got a few of you guys that are willing to help me figure it out!
