Yeah I understand that.. But i've done my research on this and didnt find what I was looking for which is why I brought it to this site, hoping someone on here has done it or knows the answer. I keep getting mixed answers on this making it confusing. The first guy said I'll be able to do it with no trimming and you say I might need to trim.. but I get it.. it gets repetitive but that's what these forums are about I thought. And I understand there are people who dont care...its not their money thats getting spent.

Well I have 33s right now. I got them and had rubbing issues when turning with my tbars maxed. So compared to the other people, I base my answer on personal experience. I had to trim the corners of the valence. But then I got a new front bumper so that all changed then.

Okay, what i'll have them do is put the two front tires on and see if anything hits and go for a quick ride and then i'll have to make my decision.. I'm hoping if it does hit valence, it just barely does because I don't want to do any trimming but if I love the look, i'll do it. I'm getting some body work done Monday so maybe i'll ask them if they can just trim it up a bit to clear the tires. This guy has done amazing work on our vehicles in the past so i'm sure doing a little trimming won't be a problem. I just don't want it to be noticeable.

I had to only trim about an inch off the corners at most and it was on the side of valence not the front. The rubbing only happened when turning more than one turn on the wheel so overall it wasn't bad and it was worth it. The trimming was minimal and I used wire cutters myself lol

so if i understand right you wanna know if you can fit 33in mt tires with out cranking your t bars right??? k so i know with my truck i didnt have to crank my t bars at all to get 33s to fit. they fit perfect no issue. but sense your truck is an XLT and 2000 model id go with what the other guys are saying. i mean if you have to crank your t bars fine crank them and you can fit them no issue. but IDK first install the tires and if cranking is needed do it. cause if you crank your t bars your ride will be a little stiffer. and it puts your CV axles at a steeper angle so your front end components will wear faster. so its best not to crank them.

They will fit without cranking at all they will fit if you don't crank high as they go and they will fit if you level it.

I will crank them a bit if I have to, but I didn't really want to start trimming something that's perfectly fine. If I really liked how the wide stance looks with the tires, I would trim but only if its just a little bit. So I was just wondering if they do rub, how much? If they were going to rub a lot then I would just say screw it, and go with the 285/70's. The only downfall is the 285's will take awhile to get, where as the 33's were only a couple days so they're on the way. And I only get one chance to say I'll take them or not.. So just wanted to know what to expect before making my decision on the spot.

So you know I won't have any rubbing issues even with my wheels..? That was my only concern.. Don't want to start hacking my valence in order to fit some tires. Just wanted an idea before even going into the tire shop because they're some expensive tires.

If it is really that big of deal you should have went with 275's or 265's. My 285's rubbed and I still had to trim.

I no longer have the 285's but no one is the wiser that I trimmed the mudflap and front plastic. You can't see it...
