I have a 1999 f150 5.4l and want to install an air intake on it any advice, brands, what kind of intake etc, I should get would be greatly appreciated.

 

It should already have an intake... also, moved to 1997-2003.

I mean like a cold air intake, not my factory fender pull one.

Doesn't that put moisture in the engine? Which over time could cause the engine to cease.

 

If you are looking for the most bang for the buck, stay with the stock unit and do the Gotts. It pulls more cold air than any of the replacements. The CAI get hot air at all times to the engine, where the stock pulls in cold air from the fender. Stock pulls as much air as aftermarket CAI's and doesn't need any kind of tuning. Most CAI's require a tune or have a CEL stay on. Stay with stock. Your engine will appreciate it.
