Default Air intake

Ok I searched a lot and still can't find much so I'm wanting to see if anyone has some good input. I'm looking for a air intake kit that is fully or almost fully inclosed like the volant or I have seen one be injen but I'm really lost at what else there is or if these are good. I have the gotts right now but I feel like there is something better. Thanks

dont think youll see much more improvment when you compare the GOTTs mod and an actual CAI. price aint too hot either.

What you could do is find just the piping of a CAI, i know auto stores sell pieces individually. Other than that it isnt worth buying a complete kit when the only difference between the gotts and a CAI is the tubing from filter to intake

Do the gotts mod with a K&N filter. I did it on my buddy's truck for less than $100 bucks. $10 without the filter!! All you need is a 3in intake boot and a 3in piece of exhaust tubing

First, get a 3" flex coupler for about $6.

Next, buy a piece of 3" belled-end, thin wall pvc drain pipe. That will set you back about $8 at Home Depot or Lowes.

Just cut off the belled end (leaving about 3" of the narrow end) and throw the rest of the pipe away. It perfectly fits on both sides with no fitting needed. The belled end will fit on the flex coupler to the air box, and the narrow end will slip into the hole on the fender.

Finally, buy a Spectre 888039 air filter, which will perform identically to a K&N, but only costs $35.

And there you have the entire Gotts/High flow filter mod for under $50.

If you already have the K&N you're a step ahead, just gotts mod it and you'll have a fully in closed CAI
