Hi, new to this forum. So here is my question I am looking at a 2001 ford f150 supercrew 2x4 the abs light is on solid when I had the truck checked at my machanic shop I was informed it could cost upto $2000.00 to repair. All the brakes have just been done so what could cost this amount.

did he give you a code for this? my chilton says there are 13 codes, numbered 2 through 16 for RABS, and 21 codes for 4 wheel anti-lock brake systems. for the RABS, the code consists of a number of short flashes and ends with a long flash. count the number of short flashes and include the following long flash in the count to obtain the code. so 3 shorts and 1 long would be code 4. for the 4 wheel system plug into your data link with a code reader. hope this helps a little.
