Default ABS light on

Maybe I can jump in here with my problem. My ABS light comes on when the key is first turned on then goes off for a couple seconds (that part is normal) then comes back on and stays on. I replaced the rear ABS but to no avail with the light. If I hold the brake pedal down when I turn the key on, and start the engine, and keep it held down the light stays off. Of course, when I release the pedal the light comes on, and stays on. I guess the ABS Relay is next. But, I can't find the darn thing. This problem didn't happen until I hooked up a electric brake controler. I dis connected the electric brake controler but that didn't help either. How hard is it to remove the front ABS Senors on my 2001 F150? I took the bolt off it (star head) and started to pry a little, then chickened out. Thanks for any help. I too am new to this site, but, has helped me already.

I don't know. I was lucky enough to get it on the first try (rear). But there are mechanics that troll this site. One will know what to do. BTW, are your brakes capable of locking up now?

Default ABS Light

Could someone please send me a picture of what this sensor looks like? I bought one from a local auto parts store but I'm not sure they sold me the right sensor. Thanks.
