What year front valence fits a 98? I'm wanting to get the fog lights and possibly the tow hooks. Did they come stock on any? What model years will fit it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

The grille housings changed after 1998, (1999+ dip down in the middle of the grille), so if you get a bumper from an F150 that is 99+ you will probably have a weird gap. So 97-98 would probably be a direct fit, but anything outside of that might look off or fit differently.

Yes. 4x4s came with fog lights, and I'm not sure about the tow hooks, I'm thinking maybe fx4's came with them? Maybe someone else can answer that better than I could.

 

Well as we have found out not all 4x4's have them..... well at least not mine. haha

The bumper you see in Johnny's pictures for the 98 is for a 4x4. The 2wd's, unless in a package or were special ordered, did not come with fog lights, per se. Expeditions are a different matter all together. I've seen fog lights on the 2wd's and tow hooks also from the factory. The 4x4 bumper has the fog light holes. They may not have the fog light harness, but the bumper will have the holes, on a 4x4. The tow hooks fit under the front center section of the bumper and attach to the frame rails. (see my signature picture or go to my garage).

Only 1997-98 bumpers will "directly" fit. The newer ones, will have the grille drop down in the center, so the bumper has the cut out for it. The 97-8's are straight across the top.
