Default 97 F150 Frame.....Input Needed!

I have a 97 f150. The frame is apparently different than every other f150.

Ive had a hard time finding a front mount receiver to mount my winch.

I ordered a curt front mount receiver that said itd fit my year and ofcoarse it didnt.

Why is my frame different than the rest?

My mechanic buddy said its either a 96 frame with 97 drive train or 97 frame with 96 drive train.

How do I find the build date?

mines 7/96 you need to specify that you have a half year truck and good luck if you ever want to buy headlights
