No doubt.... I've always wondered why they feel the need to do a core charge. They're just going to throw it away.

would it match or exceed the cfm need for our trucks tho that's all I'm worried about I don't want to boil over in the South Carolina heat and it's gonna be a HOT summer this year lol

Here are some RF-269 Specs taken from a thread on this forum:

Small fan

Diameter 14.5"
Hub diameter 5.5"
Current (no load) 24.83A
Current under load 26.24A
Starting current 69.64A
cfm (no load) 2797 cfm

Large fan

Diameter 15"
Hub diameter 5.75"
Current (no load) 27.64A
Current under load 36.35A
Starting current 69.64A
cfm (no load) 2964 cfm

Total

Current (no load ) 52.47
Current under load 62.59A
Starting current 139.3A
cfm (no load) 5761 cfm

So what I read on another forum was not even close if you go by this. These fans suck a lot of juice. I am not interested in rewiring my system for a 3rd time so I will look for something else to replace my current fans.

The Mark VII / Cougar / T-Bird fan pulls in over 5000 cfm. It already keeps a 4.6 cool with a lower capacity radiator. It'll work just fine for our trucks.

Core charges on batteries are for the environment. For anything else it's so the manufacturer can rebuild your old part. at a parts store when you buy reman parts you pay the core to offset the price of the company not having another to rebuild, new parts either have a lesser charge or none at all. At a scrap yard its either for scrap price or to just plain get more money.

Not sure what you're getting at here? I already know this.
