Default 7 to 5 Lug Conversion????

I recently bought a 2000 Ford F150 XLT 7700, and I need help converting it from a 7 lug to a 5 lug if possible. Any advice is welcome.

Find an F250 and swap the rear axle, then do a SAS for the front.
Otherwise you're hosed.

Why would you want to go from a 7 lug to a 5 lug?

Because it's a pain in the butt to find 7lug rims. Lots more/cheaper options for 6 or 8 lug

I'd take the extra load carrying capabilities of the 7 lug over a set of after market wheels anyday. That's just me though.

Imo you should stay with your 7 lugs but a cheap option is to get wheel spacers/adapters. They make 7 to 6 lug conversion adapters

Get a 7 to 8 lug adaptor for a popular 8 lug pattern.

I wouldn't trust them if you're using the truck at it's ratings. Towing 9200lbs or having 2800lbs of payload is a bad time for an adapter to fail.

Wheels can be found at Centerline as well as Fuel.

idk if you have a Les Schwab around where you are, but my truck has the only wheels they sell that fit it and they look great imo. Allied Wheel Rock Crushers 17x9" 7x150 bolt pattern. I think they're $160 a piece. But yeah, wheels are a pita to find for these...
