Does anyone knows if the coolant tube behind the water pump(the pipe that passes underneath the intake) uses one or two o-rings? The guy at ford dealer said that he thinks is two of them. I just want to order the o-ring and have it available if it leaks in the future. Thanks.

You wouldn't have any pictures of your work you did? I might be doing this as well.

There is a simple mod for that, -it works well. It was published in the Haynes/Chilton books for awhile from Ford Motor.

Chop off the HC tube were it widens. Replace with a section of heater hose from the WP stem to the hardline.

Kept going through O-rings, so I finally switched over to the mod. That was back in 06, - hasn't leaked since.

Did you flare the HC pipes? I need to do this mod this summer.

After all these years, someone finally asked lol. Nope, not back then, I wasn't equipped...am now .

I used regular cheap clamps. Couldn't use expansion clamp because there wasn't enough space down there.

When Ford revealed that fix, - it went on all their re-mans. That's what the article in the hanes/chilton manual provided along with a pic. Man that was almost 15 years back...a time when I thought Chilton/Haynes provided good info lol. Anyway, not sure if Ford flared, but in the pic they had a nice crimp vs a cheap clamp.
