Default 4x4 not working.

so i went fishing saturday and drover through some rough terrain/mud/sand, not aggressively, just cruised through.
i turn the 4x4 switch and sounds like its switching on.
i end up stuck in the sand, my front wheels are spinning? i have driven through this sand before and got through fine.
any idea what could have happened?
this is my first 4x4 so this is all new to me?!

na without a locker or posi-trac power goes to the tire with less traction. which is stupid.

ok well that was some important info to leave out haha. uh all i can think of is theres a fork in your t case that engages your 4x4. i dont know its never happened to me but ive heard of it before. im not sure what it takes to fix it though.

or if its a 4x4 **** you have to baby those sometimes. manuals the way to go
