Default 4bt swap?

I have a 2002 supercrew 4x4 and I am considering a diesel conversion. I have seen ppl put a Cummins 4bt in the 90s models f150s but not in the 97-03 trucks. I know gas to diesel and powerstroke to Cummins conversions has been done in super dutys but not in the f150s. Has anyone seen or done this conversion to their trucks

If you can't Fabricate or afford to pay someone to, don't even try.

(Fabricating is much different that welding.)

Best diesel swap on a truck like this I've seen was a 7.3 powerstroke swap.

That's way to big and heavy of an engine for this body style. Not only would it be a very tight fit but the ifs suspension couldn't hold it. I would go with a 4 or 6bt cummins if I could

I know my suspension will hold the 4bt but not the 6bt. I like the sas though. I have been digging around the internet and bread trucks seem to be the best source. However they also use the Allison 1000 transmission. Opinions?
