ive been thinking about this for a while now
i have a 2000 f150 4x4 and
im tired of the 4.6 and auto i have now
im getting a complete 1992 f250 4x4 with 460/5 speed for 300 bucks
runs and drives good just needs a throwout bearing
fuel injected and it has the same transfer case mine has
any thoughts on this?
wiring diagrams for the 460 maybe?

id do it, but you should do a staight axle swap too if your getting a complete f250 withthat much power and those tries youll constantly break driveshafts, i broke mine last night and i got the same tires you got

 

why not just drive the 250? what's wrong with it

 

If 460 has the ZF transmission it will be a struggle getting it to fit in the transmission tunnel. 230 hp and 390 lbs/feet are nice numbers. Your gas mileage will suck. Sell the 250 for the price of a 5.4 and the swap will be a piece of cake.

the 250 is beat to ****
and i cant stand these mod motors anymore
it is a zf but how much would i need for the tranny to clear
can i swap tranny tunnels?
just a lil mig wire and a cutoff wheel? right?

 

also im going to pull the entire dash out to do wiring and to change heater cores
no JMC i still havnt changed that yet i still have the stuff you sent me though

 

Hows the frame on the f250? Is just the body b-t-s?

 

the 460 would be sick!!!! but i def. would do the sas if you did the 460...i wish i could find the same deal you did
