Numerous things actually. The left head, crank, block main bearing mounting, and the list goes on. The Windsor is the stronger of the cranks etc. Windsors are built in Ontario Canada, and the Romeo USA. You seem to find more Mustangs with Romeos than Windsors, but building one, the Windsor is preferable.

^^^^ Yes, you are wrong.

Cam Cover Bolts: Romeo 11 per side, Windsor 13
Crank Bolts: Romeo 6, Windsor 8
Cam Gears: Romeo is bolt on, Windsor is pressed on
Main Cap Dowels: Romeo used jack screws, Windsor used dowels
Connecting rods in a Windsor are bigger.
Romeos used a fixed piston, while the wrist pins float on a Windsor.


Probably some other things I am forgetting....


But, that said, there is still a lot that will interchange between the two.
