Default 4.6 missing

I have a 02 150 with the 4.6 and the service eng soon light came on yesterday. Today it has started missing under a load going up a small incline and even at a idle. Any ideas???? THANKS

it sounds like you had a bad coil pack to me go to adavance or somewhere and they will put it on the machine for free and it will tell you which one it is

yeah i had one go bad and it would jerk you outta the truck i though it was the tranny slipping for awhile until the light come on and i went to advance i think a coil pack is like 50 dollars for one of them depends on how many you need

Thanks for the help guys.......... I will have to call my local Napa and see if they can do it. If not my nearest Advanced Auto or Auto Zone is 12 miles away. I don't know if I dare to drive it that far.

lol i drove mine around for a month with it limping like that before i had anything done to then i just had a guy change the plugs and the bad coil pack in runs good now they hadnt been changed in 180,000 miles lol

You guys were right on the money!!!! It was the coil pack on the #8 cyl just like Advance auto said...... I also changed all plugs and that went better then I thought.
