Default 4.6 issues

So Someone might have posted this before but I just replaced my maf sensor and my truck won’t stay running. I was wondering if anyone had a 97 4.6 and really good pictures of all the vacuum lines were they go and everything. This engine is a mess and the people I bought it from messed it all up

Did it run before? Maybe the MAF sensor is not the problem.

Do you mean it won't idle or it won't stay running even with throttle pedal control? The Idle Air Control Valve should be controlling air to keep it idling.

Let me explain again:
If < the PCM was faulty, would you expect 2 different PCMs to pick up the same fault?
Look at the fault code description, it says EPC short ckt.
The PCM looks for a Current "signature" wave form that defines correct operation. The EPC solenoid is a magnetic device therefore has a specific Current pattern for that device design.
The control lead to the transmission is monitored by the PCM for this operation.
If you don't go from this design function in both software and hardware; where are you going from here?
I can't explain it any different that how the system works.
Good luck, your on your own.

This isn't the EPC thread. This is the "replaced my MAFS truck won't stay running" thread.
