Just got back into a f150
Has brand new Goodyear GSA on it and they look so wimpy

I'm undecided between 305s or 285s
I don't need to lose much if any mileage.

I'd stick with 285's if you don't plan on lifting it. I didn't like the 35's and no lift, you couldn't flex much, just getting into my grandparents driveway would mac out the truck lol. That and scraping the tire on the bumper got real old real fast.

If you were in Nor Cal you should buy my 285/70-17 BFG KO2s on Helos

Had 285s on my previous 2000 ext cab and had zero issues. Never scrubbed one bit. And I took it off-road a lottttt lol.
It seemed like the 305s would fit without any issues but I may go 285 first then 295 or 305 once I get a little more power to the ground. Mines totally stock as of right now. Haven't even touched the torsion bars yet.
Got to put my own touches on it still.

After going through just about this entire thread,
I went from this.

To This, and I got say Thanks to this F-150 Forum

I ended up going with 4:10 gearing and installing new axles and bearings. Went with ATX Artillery wheel with 295-70-17 Nitto Trail grapplers. Cranked torsion bars to 24.25" and added 2" blocks to the rear to level out. I took it to Arizona Dyno Chip to re-calibrate shift points and speedometer.

Sadly you didn't level it out but added 1.5" of rake with those 2" blocks, looks good though

That's a great looking truck. What a difference wheels and tires can make. Love the Gold too. We have a few nicer Gold trucks like yours in my area and I always notice them.
