So a few months back my dad picked up a 2wd 98 xlt. It's time for new tires to be put on it and we were wondering what's the biggest we can go without rubbing? If we have to put a leveling kit on it thats fine. Right now he as 245/60(I think)/16s

You can do 285/75r16s and 1.5' spacer up front may be a goos idea.

That's what I was originally thinking but his truck sits pretty low and my 285/70/17s almost rub bumper at full lock and I have a little bit of a t bar crank.

Hmm then stay on the safe side and go 265/75 with a spacer and call it good. Personally I dont like an overstuffed truck.
