Default Zone Lift

So I bought my 02 F150 with cranked T bars and 35's. I was going through front ends like no tomorrow. I researched lift kits for a long time and went with the zone 6" full suspension lift. I liked the fact that they said it would bring everything back to factory position. The kit is being installed right now and my mechanic said I'm making the truck worse and I'm going to eat up the front end faster???? Do I need to upgrade stearing linkage and other parts on top of the lift kit? I'm going out of my mind!

I got the zone lift and it comes with differential drop down brackets that will put your axles back to factory angle. I went through two sets of axles with leveling kit and it destroyed my front end so I either had to go back to factory or lift it. That guy is wrong about putting a lift on and making it even worse. The shop that put mine on made sure they set the height correctly where it needs to be and everything is tighter than it has ever been in terms of steering and driving. I am impressed with it after going through a whole year of stuff breaking and vibrating.

Yeah I'm hoping this guy is just being dramatic. He was against the lift to begin with but I had no one else to install it. He kept telling me to go back to stock.

You should have any problems with it unless he doesn't install it correctly

A proper 6'' lift is like going back to stock. Except your going up in direction with the truck. The entire suspension, I think the word I want is geometry, will remain the same as if it was stock with a true 6'' lift kit. Another words you'll be fine. I wouldn't let old buzz kill ruin your excitement.

Im curious what you guys are doing for cranking the bolt on the drivers side, I have a 2002 fx4 supercab and I did my first crank last summer and stopped with about 1/8 inch of threads before the bolt was completely turned in, doing that raised me to about 23 1/4 inches. im not sure if I should turn that all the way in or leave some threads showing. I would like to get as close to the 24 1/4 inches as possible but that bolt has me questioning whether I should crank again or if turning that up more or all the way in will hurt my front end.

I wouldn't crank it any further...you don't want to crank it the entire way up. If you only have an 1/8" left, you are cranked as high as you should go. You will end up putting to much of a bind on the torsion bars and you don't want anything to snap and run torsion bar up thru the floor board. I doubt your not going up another inch with only that much threads showing anyways

So I will either need new keys and crank those to 24.25'' or just live with it at 23.25''? id hate to get new keys and tear through front end parts constantly or is that only if you crank more than 24.25 on aftermarket keys?

Only if you crank it more than 24 1/4. You can max your stock keys out but I doubt you'll get another inch. There will be now more stress on the bars with stock keys maxed at 24 1/4 than aftermarket keys at 24 1/4.

Default 97 f150 fx4 ext. cab 4.6 v8

I'm wondering if my 315/75/16 tires will fit on my truck without doing anything to it. If not what do I need to do to my truck to make them fit? Thanks I'm new to this forum stuff. Also if you need pictures of the truck or anything just ask.
