35s with the Tbars Cranked
Hello all - great thread to go through! My son and I are putting a 3" bodylift on our 99 xl ext cab longbox 4x4 and will use oem wheels for the 35s. Pricing a couple spots for tires and it seems much more selection of 17" 35s vs 16" 35s @ 12.5 (I'm on the north side of the border!)
Ours only has the 16" wheels so I'll hunt for some 17" stockers online for 97-03 f150. I like the look of those FX4 wheels!

Everyone likes the look of the FX4 wheels, so they can be difficult to find especially in good condition. I started down that road, but ended up with some aftermarket ones that I like even more. Good luck with the project!
We currently have the oem 16 inch chrome swirl looking ones that I believe come in a 17" version as well. I think I saw a thread on oem wheels somewhere I'll try and dig up for options! Cheers!
Thanks a bunch!! I know to keep an eye on the stud size differences, and like you said I found someone local with fx4 wheels for $1000 CDN but they have good winter tires on them. I can find a full set of oem 16s no sweat for a fraction of the price but 35s seem not as plentiful for that size wheel.
So buy 'em, keep the wheels, sell the rubber. Easy.
Stud size only comes into play when you're replacing hubs or lug nuts (and sometimes rotors, but not usually). Any wheel can be used with either stud size, although for wheels with hub covers, the lug nut size can affect how they snap in place. For instance, if the covers were sold on a truck with 12mm lug nuts, they may not press over the 14mm nuts. Good news, though, I think I still have a set of center caps from my '99 if you end up needing them. You can see the wheels they fit in the thread linked in my sig (white truck).

Because I was so focused on switching to 17s, got to go back and see if there's any rubbing with this setup and a 3 inch bodylift (bodylift is now installed!)
