Default #3 cylinder issue

I have a 97 F150 4.6 .... The engine light came on so I had a diagnostic done and it read the #3 cylinder..starting simple and cheap, I put in a new plug wire,...no luck, then I replaced the coil pack, no luck....note, my plugs had been replaced and had only 2000 miles on them, everything seems tight? does anyone have sugestions as to what the issue might be? I'd like to have this resolved by tomorrow. the truck is running rough

Thanks !

So your plugs were replaced 2000 miles ago??? I just want to make sure I understand you. What brand of plugs are you using? Did you try switching them out to see if the miss moves?

these engines are very picky about plugs and COPs, you should use Motorcraft parts ONLY

Compression Check the #3 if you have already checked the coils and plugs. Hope yours turns out better than mine. I had two burned exhaust valves. One on each bank...
