Default 3.55 open diff - locker or LS?

I don't like the open diff on my truck. I'm fine with the gear ratio. I did a little research on Powertrax lockers but I don't think I want to deal with them potentially locking up at the wrong times. I'd be fine with a regular stock LS...did any models come with a 3.55 LS that I could just swap over?

3.55 ls is pretty common, most fx4's/off road packages should have as well as others but i think more common for those packages, if you're looking for one the door jam sticker should have H9 for the axle code

my 2001 lariat screw has open, but the wrecked 2wd xlt ext cab 2000 that i bought for motor had a 355 Limited slip so I'm going to swap them. So don't think overlook any 2wds.

Good luck with your swap let me know how it goes when you do it.

Detroit Mechanical locker is what you want. its the Rigid Industries of lockers. Ive had mine in for approx 20,000 miles no issues, it never locks up when I dont want it to.
