I think they perfected the 2v 5.4 in the 02-03 models. Stick with the 2V, you are gaining alot more reliability in exchange for minimal hp and torque gains.

I know there's just like 40 hp difference and like 10 ftlb of torque there's plenty of things I can do to add that

Yes, and the peak torque is about 2000rpm higher than that of the 2V.

Like everybody said dont do it. Go with a 03 with pi heads for a better result

That's what I got a 2003 with the 5.4 I thought they were the same as 2000 models

just to give you an idea, since the Silveroak processor is light years ahead of the EEC-V and much of the electronic components in the newer trucks are "logic based".

A guy on tccoa.com a 3V 4.6L swap into his 4.6L 2V Tbird and not only did he have to pull the motors and wiring, but had to utilize the newer processor, complete engine management wiring, but had to integrate the mustang instrument cluster as the old one had NOTHING in common. Cranking bolts and draining fluids are just what you do on the first day. The guy who did the aforementioned swap not only has programming and tuning experience, but is also extremely familiar with automotive electrical work. It was a challenge for him, I wouldnt recommend it.

I'm not Gona fool with it it was a thought I had lol i was looking at a 05 fx4 with the 5.4 and I've heard bad stuff about it but now I'm leaning more towards a 03 powerstroke fx4 for 15k that's got 130k miles on it it's a beautiful truck but I really like my ole f150 it's hard to part with it

Sure does I wouldn't own the 6.0 my papaw had one and it was nuthin but problems
