Yep, and so long as I have the spare taking up space on a shelf, I likely won't either.

As a long shot, I replaced the CR2032 batteries in both of the alarm remotes. Guess what...the lights have stopped coming on by themselves. I had noticed that when I left the car unlocked that the lights stopped coming on intermittently. For a couple of weeks I was manually pushing down every door lock and noticed the problem with the lights stopped. I dont know if this is a true "fix" but I guess replacing the batteries in the remotes is working.

Great info for people with similar problems in the future! Thanks for updating. I would have never guessed the remote batteries.

Something to try, have to wonder if it wasn't coincidence or not. If the Gem dried out it could stop itself also I suppose but definitely worth a shot for a cheap fix for people. I ended up taking my gem and fuse box out and putting in rice for a couple days after spraying it out with electronics cleaner. Put it back in and no problems since. Would have never guessed to even try the remotes but in these electronic vehicles of today I suppose anything is possible.

Do you have HIDs as your bulbs? I had the same problem!
