Default 2003 or 2004

So, I have had my truck for about 8 years, I am the second owner, the original owner I just pulled a code from my reader and its a "CHT" sensor issue. I went to a couple automotive stores, no luck, went to Ford Parts department, 80 bucks they tell me, for this small sensor. Anyways, i find it at Azone, not sure if I'm allowed to post business names. and it was only 16 bucks. So my question is this, is there any reason to believe the ford supplied OEM part is solid in core as opposed to the one I put in my truck and broke off .....secondly can i use quick steel or jb weld to somehow mend this sensor back onto the already inserted into the cylinder head block. I also am wondering why on earth the title says its a 2004 when clearly it is a 2003, I even had to have a key made and the chip code wouldn't work for the 2004, key blank wasted. Had to purchase another blank and use the 2003 code. Just curious as to why its so....

I dont think you can repair that part and expect to work properly- that said, and without seeing it, it sounds like you have an 04 heritage edition, which is basically an 03.
These engines are a little particular to some components- however, unless someone has any personal experience and chimes in i would give the autozone one a try,if it didnt last, go motorcraft next time. Hope this helps,Regards, Bear

Look on tasca parts. I replaced mine for like $25 with a Motorcraft one. I would give you a link but I have no idea which motor you have.
