Do regular leveling kits work on the 7700? Whats the down side of cranking up the torsion bar? How big of tire would fit once level?
It's not a good thing to crank the torsion bars way up everything gets thrown way out of whack. I have a leveling kit in my '97 F-150 and I hate it, I thought it would be nice but you loose your nice smooth ride, don't get me wrong it looks cool and I've had a lot of compliments on it. But my advise is if you're going to lift your truck either get a real lifting kit by a brand like Pro Comp or something like that; not a leveling kit that uses the torsions bars. Just a word of advise. But if the ride don't bother you then go for it but even with the kit in you still can't crank it up that much because the axles will not take it neither will the ball joints from the strain of being cranked up that high, just trust me on this.

Hey , sounds good, what tire size did you go with? I was looking at 315 that was 33.8 inch, how narrow do they have to be with crank? I will chop the valance and anything else in the front.
315/75 Would Go Under It If You Didn't Lift It. I've Got 285/75's On My 01 7700 No Problems With Room Anywhere. Already Checked 315's And I Know They Will Fit Mine. One Of The Problems With Turning Your Torsion Bars Is That It Weakens Them Quicker. The Other Thing Too Though You Gotta Boost Them For A Plow Anyway So It Shouldn't Harm Anything. Got A Guy That Has A 97 F-150 4x4 With Em Jacked And A 2" Block In The Rear, Truck's Still Not Higher Than Mine. Both Bodies Are At Equal Height. I Got Little More Ground Clearance. He's Got 265/75's On His
