Exclamation 2002 F150 AKA "Pearl" build thread

Hey guys, Ive been looking at these forums for years but never made an account and never documented my truck build so I figured now that work is slow ill give it a shot!

When I bought the truck 3 years ago, *the tool box and vent visors were installed by me, but this is the oldest picture I have of the truck it was 100% BONE STOCK

I will post pictures below of before and after upgrades, My hope is to answer any questions anyone might have, over the years I have gotten many questions answered through this forum so now its time for me to give back, please feel free to ask anything!

Badges

I removed them from the truck using fishing line, I believe it was 30lb test. Anything over 20lb should work, I cleaned them with a degreaser, DO NOT use denatured alcohol on these, the plastic is soft and will be eaten by the alcohol, I prepped them with an adhesion promoter, sprayed 2 coats of primer, then 4 coats of black gloss dupicolor for plastics, then sprayed with AT LEAST 5 coats of gloss/UV protection.

Default Rear Bumper Black

I used plasti-dip to get a feel for what it would like black, so far it is holding well but I do intend to do a more lasting coating in the future but for now this is what it looks like.

Default HID install

I installed HIDs in the heads and fogs

The heads are 9007 Bi-Xenon High/lows **6000k**
The fogs are H10 Xenon **6000k**

Hard to tell but very bright. I ordered the kits from DDM Tuning.

Default Head Lights

I wanted black headlights, after searching for awhile I decided to go with ebay headlights, I wasn't expecting much quality, but I was actually surprised when they came in, very heavy duty plastic, seems just as sturdy as stock I guess time will tell how they hold up!
