Default 2002 Doors keep locking when I apply breaks

UGG! The door locks continue to keep locking when I'm driving and I apply the breaks. As long as the breaks are on they keep locking until I take the breaks off. Any ideas and help to solve this problem would be GREATLY appreciated.

Um, aren't they suppose to lock when you drive? I know mine lock sometimes after I've hit the brakes. Honestly man, I'm thinking the truck's suppose to do that, I know mine does. It's a safety feature.

AVALSOP: No, not lately. A few months ago the key fob with the remote starter & alarm just stopped working. I pulled the center collumn, between the front seats, and found an alarm system that wasn't hooked up. And next to the steering wheel was a PATs bypass kit that I unplugged. But it the door locks where working fine.
A bit annoying.

Yes they are supposed to lock when the truck is in drive and moving forward. A feature that you can turn off by the way. But the problem is, they continually keep locking. Not once and locked, but they keep locking. Makes sense?
But they keep locking ONLY when I press on the breaks. When I am slowing down or at a stop they go click, click, click, click until take my foot off the breaks.
That will drive anyone nuts.
I hope a solution is in the near future

Wow man... Thats nuts.

My RF door lock locks itself when you open that door but its not nearly as hard to deal with as what you are describing. Good luck.

Unfortunately, as time moves on, so do the members that know their sh*t. Suggest reading all threads pertaining to the GEM module. The door locks are part of this thing and with the former reports of W/S leaks ruining it, it could be your problem.

You might send a PM to"Torkum", that boy knows his stuff. Perhaps he will respond. Good luck!

man you got yourself a little bit of a perdicament right there.

but reading this i couldnt help but think of a similar story that happened to me once. we have a 28 foot gooseneck flatbed that we re-wired...completely wrong. and whenever you turned on the right blinker the trailer brakes locked up! hope this makes you feel a little better cuz it can always be worse haha

at work we see things that are not factory hooked up wrong all the time . not sure if it will help but i would take the security system off. we has a kid hook up asystem and blew both airbags on a mustang. it cost his dad about 2500.00 to fix it.

Thanks for the replies. I turned off the auto door locking option. That worked for about a day. I'll start to research the GEM module posting s here. Thanks again.
