2002 4.6 traction control
Is there any way at all to take off the traction control without a tuner? I'm taking my truck to the track soon and the T.C. is robbing me blind off the line. Knowing anyway to turn it off would really help.
I'm guessing you dont have a button to turn the TC off? If not I'm guessing there isnt any other way then with a tuner. I could be wrong though.
Does the f150 even have traction control? I thought it just had a limited slip diferential. The two are completly different systems. In short, tc uses the abs and retards the engine when it senses the wheels losing traction.
LSD, improves traction by sending power to the second tire when the drive tire losses traction.

its deffinatly the computer it kills my my power when i start of. my half throttle is just the same as WOT im gonna get a tuner regardless but id like to take it off now instead of waiting. Im sure the 4:10's im getting will beat it out anyway. and the limited slip just stops one tire from spinning on a straight away. it insures that they both have equall power aside from turning.
