Default 2001 super crew headlights

I have an 01 super crew xlt and the headlights seem extremely dim. The lenses are not very dull or fogged up, but it almost seems like the bulbs aren't running full power or something. I don't think the alternator is bad as the guage is quite a bit above center. I had heard something about a bad ground causing this? Anybody had that problem before? Thanks!

Get a volt meter out and check your voltage at battery running and not running. report back to this group on your findings

Just clean the ground. Both are right there next to radiator , easy access.

I will hopefully check the voltage this weekend, but I ordered some Sylverstar ultras yesterday. Have any of you guys tried these bulbs in our trucks? I have some in my mustang and they are awesome.

I have them and have been running them for years. I like them but be sure not to touch the bulb with your fingers or they will fail.
