Just had my valve cover gaskets replaced. Looking over the valve covers I noticed this silver valve at the top and looks like it’s missing a hose. Anyone know if this need a hose on it. This is the passenger side. The driver side has a hose on the same silver valve but the passenger side does not. If so what hose is it and where would the hose connect to?

You're missing the PCV system on the passenger side. Yea, that motor needs one.
The drivers requires a breather not a valve. That's a must as well.

In case you're unaware. You have to run the correct Motorcraft PCV valve in that motor as well. If Ford replaced that motor and it went bad, they wouldn't warranty it you had anything else in there.. that's how critical it is. Only Motorcraft valves have the correct margins. Modulers are heavy breathers.

there’s a nipple that the PCV goes to, behind the throttle body area near firewall (top of intake manifold) you can reach the nipple where it connects to by removing entire throttle body - if doing so make sure to have a new throttle body gasket ready (oval shaped) they don’t cost much. I say change it as I’m guessing most gaskets need to be changed when removing and reinstalling components… plus the gasket is under $5 bucks I believe

I don't know what that guy is talking about, just look for your models "PCV valve and hose assembly" on e bay of Amazon and you probably find it. Did it real quick for the 5four and got this, -
That's all you have to do but search your specific model truck. There's more new old stock parts of e bay.
