2001 cabin filter
I solved my 2001 F150 Supper Crew Cab Rear glass leaking issue using a gummy roll of black sealant that the Glass Shop use to replace glasses. I bought mine in a Glass shop for $5 it was abut 20 ft long and about 3/8" dia and comes in sealed box.
The replacement process is a little complicated since the interior back panel have to be removed in order to remove the glass frame holder screws. You have to remove the third light, replace bulbs and check on the bulb base, replace if necessary. Ensure third light gasketting is ok and complete. If not replace gaskets. There are some clips to remove carefully from inside panel. Clean the body surface and the inner of the glass frame. Remove the old sealant. Repair any oxidation in the body caused by the leaking water. Stick the sticky gum roll around the body and fit the glass frame back. Inspect and clean the rear windows seals, they tend to be missed or cracked and the water may come from this window also. Carefully install the glass frame and hand tight the screw evenly. Before assembly all interior, test it with tap water hose around. There should not be any leak around....If leaking you could try to tight the screws at the location of the leak, if this does not solve it, then disassemble and re-seal the area with new sealant.
I did mine first time by being careful and paying attention in the detail. '
If you use other sealant than this one, for example silicon gun, then you may get the trouble if you have to remove the glass frame again to seal it. When the silicon is dried, it is very dificult to remove it. If you put other type of sealant, rather than the black gummy type or the original seal, how can you remove it in the future...It will be very hard to remove the glass frame since it is plastic and tend to break. The gummy sticky black sealant, expand very easily.
Good luck.

Concerning to the Cabin Filter Mine 2001 does not have one. However, there is a Cabin Air Filter A/C Kit to upgrade the system. I am evaluating to use this kit since I have to Install the Heater Door Blender vent and the Evaporator in my truck. These filter extend the life of the aluminum evaporators. The aluminum tend to create a galvanic corrosion due to the excessive dust and dirt accumulation over its surface. This galvanic reaction creates pin holes in this cooling element.
The Cabin air filter is available only if you have Dealer Installed Option or If Equipped With Ford Retrofit Kit F65Z-18D477-AA or Dealer installed kit.
Cabin Air Filter MOTORCRAFT Part # FP7A {#F65J19N619AA, F65Z19N619AB}
The Kit is not available...It is discontinued...
