1st post! Window problem
I am thinking about buying a 97 f150 that has 297,000 miles on it
. But it has a rebuilt engine, and a rebuilt tranny and frame looks great, tires are terrible though. There is a problem though, The windows do not work unless you run a hotwire to the switch then to the window motor, then the motor only lasts a couple of months before burning up. I was wondering if I could run the hotwire to the switch, then put a inline resistor between the switch and the motor? I hope I can bag this truck b/c I have never owned a full sized truck, just a beat up ranger, which was a good truck. I do fear the thirsty 4.6 V8 though but I work near a murphy's gas station which is the cheapest around
