1999 F150 Supercab
Hey everyone, I recently bought a 1999 F150 Supercab from a local farmer who had it just sitting around. It has 190,000 miles but you wouldnt be able to tell from the outside or inside. All near mint, this guy took care of it. It starts perfect and drives like new. So anyways I bought it at a great deal. But my question is, do you guys think it has to many miles to play around with it, lifting it and ect. Would it be a waste of my time. Let me hear your thoughts! Post a pic below

He says he had, has some records. Hes the only owner, used it for hauling hay and errand on his farm. New tires put on in Jan 2013. Seems like i said, perfect, except I thought the miles were high. Either way, I feel like I got it at a steal and will enjoy it whether I play around with it or not, but if I did I wasnt sure if it would be a waste. Picked it up for a backup car, prob only drive it 2 days a week, hense why I was think of playing around with it!

Oh, but there is one problem with the truck. Everything on the dash works, but the needle that shows it in P,N,D and ect. it is stuck at in between the park and nuetral position. Idk, if theres a way i can fix that or not? Not really a big deal, but it is annoying sometimes.

Probably the cable broke where it bolts to the steering column. You can use a soldering gun to weld it. It could also be the cable itself. Pull the lower cover from the column and see what you find.

Great Score...Nice Truck! Congrats...
You dont usually need to pull the steering column cover to get at that issue. the cable can be seen from under the dash. There is a small black adjustment wheel in a white nylon bracket. if the cable or bracket was broken, the pointer would fall to the " L" position. It probably just needs adjustment.
I just had this issue with my truck, but it was the white nylon bracket that was broken.
