Yeah I would have no idea how to mange parting it out. Etc. I think I should post it for sale but take a minimum of $5000 and I show cost of brand new engine ($5000+) and transmission ($1500+). And let someone take it away. The poor Heap. 😪

Pull the engine and transmission. List them for sale separately or together. You may get offers for other parts off the truck as well. If you have the space and time, this will net you the most dollars.

I agree that parting out will net the most dollars but there are some other considerations. I parted out a vehicle on Craig's List about 10 years ago and there's a lot of time and work involved. There's the calls, texts and emails to keep up with. There's the meeting people as they come to see the vehicle with no guarantees they are going to take anything. I don't understand it but there are a lot of people that just come to see what it is you have. There's the mess people make pulling the parts they want. Often they come for parts thinking your tools are there for them. You can pull the parts for them but then that's your time. Then there's how long are you going to keep the parts vehicle alive on the internet? At what point do you decide to call it quits, pack everything up and haul what's left off to the scrap yard? Bear in mind if somebody wants the wheels or axle, do you have a way to get the vehicle to a scrap yard? Is there a place locally that will pick up scrap for free? Here anyway, you can get a vehicle picked up for free and possibly get paid for it but if it's remnants of a vehicle, your paying.

These are just some of the things to consider along with this, do you live in a place where you can part out a vehicle or do you have neighbors that see it as blight to complain about?

I have to ask. Did you pay 5k for the motor or 5k installed. You'll never get the labor back when you can buy a reman'd engine
for 3000 or less. I just bought an engine from Ford for less than 2600. Curious???

Great point. It's also not said if everything hanging on the engine is new or if they came off the old engine? If everything came off of the old engine, they don't have the low 1500 miles on them. These are things a potential buyer may not be interested in getting with the engine.
