I would of agreed with you, but the frames are different in the 120 wb all the way to the 157. There is a HD (7700) called the F250LD frame listed over the standard 2wd frame for 139 and 157

You know AK there just has to be a misnomer about all that. Listed as a HD (Heavy duty) F250LD (light duty). I've seen 'em running around here in town
but a light duty listed as a heavy duty. I know that it was a F150 7700. LMAO.....

Agreed, sell the engine and trans , sell the carcass to salvage. It might be worth parting out the rear axle complete if your willing to go thru the trouble.

Just curious but looking at that damage in your pictures where is the frame cracked?

My hope was to find a good decent truck body, cab wise etc and maybe a failed transmission and / or engine and just take and put in the new engine and trans from the cracked frame truck. Which we refer to as the “HEAP”.

From what you say I'm thinking your frame isn't as bad as your thinking. Regardless, parting out a vehicle can be a PITA and a lot of work for a lot of different reasons and then you're often left with a mess to clean up. Have you considered selling the truck as is? There are a lot of people that look for damaged vehicles to repair and sell. Particularly if the truck's title status hasn't been altered by your insurance company with the state to salvage or totaled vehicle. The truck might be worth more to you as is all things considered.
