40 seems about as low as they go for the genuine ford part. You don't have to change them all at once either though. If it's a little spendy just get 4 and put those on the hard to reach plugs in the back.

But I am making a trip next tuesday 500 miles one way for a week vacation. Then back.. so I'd be putting prob about 1300-1500 miles total in the next 14 days on the truck. I'd like to have new coils and plugs before then.
You can also get your current coils tested and find out which ones are in the worse shape and just replace those along with new plugs and you will be in good shape.

Like I said it's so close to christmas, and we are going to be spending a pretty penny already on travels. I would take the wifes car with only 27k miles and almost 30MPG... but It won't fit everything :z So I have to take the truck, and I'd like to have the coils and plugs changed before I go.

On a side note.. How often should plugs be changed? I will be using MC platinums.

ARAParts COP are good from everything I have read. All copper windings and a lifetime warranty. You have a set of 10 listed, but of course only need 8. I don't see their set of 8 listed on e-bay or Amazon right now, e-mail them for the 8 pack.
I used them on my brother in laws '04 (DG511) and no problems so far (but only 5000 miles on them so far).

Might be a good alternative to oem coils but I just have no experience with them.
