hey all ,Just bought my first ford and it has a couple of quirks. first the check engine light is on and the code is that it is running lean on banks 1 and 2 from what I have searched it is either a vac leak or the maf any thing else it might be ? and the 2nd prob is with the sunroof, basically it don't work lol, what I am wondering is that the panel that the switch is in also has a led readout that is not working the map lights do work is this a power prob to this fuse etc or is it what I am thinking and it is two totally different probs circut prob for the led readout and who knows what for the sunroof. thanks in advance for the help

Your O2 sensors could be sooty... soot covers the sensors that now read lean and make the truck run rich which creates more soot... Pull the sensors and make sure they are clean...

Your sunroof sounds electrical, IF you don't hear anything at all when you hit the "open" or "close" buttons...

Concerning the "LED display"... Do you mean the temp and compass digital display? If so, I did a fix for this this morning on my 2000 4x4...

If they are giving you a lean bank... you have an exhaust leak

 

That is very true jhelrey... Could possibly have an exhaust leak... And these headers pop the mounting hardward more often than you end up changing the fuel filter... I used the lower half of the Mark VIII bolts to replace the stud and nut set-up Ford uses... Haven't had one of those break yet!! You will hear exactly where the leak is, so that is an easy fix ~ maybe...
