Default Return question

I sent an item and it got there broken. What is proper return policy in this issue, should I refund all the money including the shipping he paid and have him return it. Do I have to pay to have it sent back to me?

I would say as long as they ship it back to you you refund their full purchase price

Personally I would request they return the broken part and once I have it, refund in full.

For future reference, the forums standpoint on returns and refunds is.... We have none.

This section is provided for free with minimal rules and stipulations. Any/all transactions that take place and the qualms they can bring up are the sole responsibility of the buyer and seller to work out.

We offer no official guidance other than "if it were me" on how to conduct sales.

I know, I was asking the people opinion. I'm not a jerk so I was going to refund the guys money. Just wanted to see how other people have handled the situation.

That being said, Personally, I would think contractually, the burden of cost would shift to the seller, having not delivered the goods in satisfactory condition, & intended purchaser should be made whole financially regarding the transaction. Meaning, deliver good at the originally agreed price, for the shipping price agreed upon, or return funds, including amount purchaser paid for shipping.

I saw your post that you were going to refund all of their money. Thank you for handling this the way you'd want it handled if the tables were turned.
