Cut the old man some slack and get some cooper STT's, or cruise through here and find some cheap tires that'll still perform Mud Tire Reviews

Remember, just because your tires aren't Nitto or Toyo or Yokohama or Swampers doesn't mean they won't perform and still look badass. Tires ain't cheap. No reason to spend more than you'd need. And please, tell me you actually use your off-road tires... if you don't, there's no point in getting them. Just takes away your gas mileage.

I'm not going to read all the replies here. Don't really care what anybody else thinks about this. I got a feeling after reading the forum for awhile the majority are going to tell you about the same thing as I am.
I'm no longer a spring chicken. My son is sixteen. I bought him a truck for his birthday, (well, it's kinda a truck. SporTrac) I pay his insurance, gas, spending money for dates, cell phone... I do this because he's a good kid. Two martial arts black belts, very polite, goes to Early College High School where he takes college courses along with his high school stuff (gonna save me two years college tuition right there)...

If, he, ever, and I mean EVER, pulled some chit like you're asking here... his ***** would be walking.

Laughing at you!? Who? Little spoiled *****hats like you're acting like? Well 'em!

Fuggin grow a pair scooter! Man up and be thankful you have a Dad that can and does help you you out.

Haha, thanks, my truck's a year younger and 4x4, once I put one of the two spares I picked up off a junker in place of the one mastercraft, (rear left, I think that's the one the axel drives until it locks, positraction on these trucks would be awesome...) because it's so bald, I'll have 4 different tires on the truck and another different tire as a spare, rollin' classy!

eh... You and I are proof that you don't need to do what this kid was doing. There can be a thread jacking.

i saved up around 3k for my truck, and my dad helped me with the rest when i was 16. everything else was on me. when i was 16 and a half or so, i bought some toyo A/T's for my truck, spent a little over 1k on them when i still had tread on my others. im going to college this fall, and im really not looking forward to next year, cause im gonna have to drop another 1k on new tires again!

and i would of loved to be on dune grapplers, i was on 265's that werent even all terrain! my point is, use them for all their worth. tires are way to expensive and wear out way to quick. trust me, when youre out of the house buy the next set yourself earlier than you would of had to, youll get how bad it sucks lol

If I asked my dad to buy me tires I think he would just laugh at me. And maybe might buy me whatever tires were on sale at the used tire shop. I'm 17 working 30 hours a week while doing my senior year. Just to pay for my truck and save for stuff like gas, tires, insurance, repairs. So to here that kinda crap especially from someone my age. I don't want to know how the future will turn out with people like that kid being the future. My first car I drove the tires down right to the rim. Literally one day the tire just blew because I couldn't afford new ones.
