I am in Baltimore too. I would love to go muddin' with my truck. Hell it doesn't even have to be muddin' just a dirt road or even a dusty trail would work for me. Does anyone know where they are?

Well I googled around, and didn't find much. I did find a race track in Pennsylvania but it looked pretty hard core. I am not keen on crashing my truck just to get some mud on it. I will ask my neighbors next time they have mud on theirs.

It's not a mud trail, but Green Ridge State Forest, in eastern Allegheny County, has some "roads" that you can drive on free of charge. I used to go camping out there and some of the roads were not passable for cars, but a truck, or 4x4 would do fine. All the roads in the forest are unpaved and are either gravel or dirt.

SWEEEEET thanks for the tip! Now how far is Allegany CO. from Baltimore? 8 miles east of Flintstone.... I gotta go back in time??

I just looked it up, and Google says it is 119 miles away and will take 2 hours or so to get there. I wonder if any of the local parks have this...

Greenridge just closed down all of their trails apparently due to lack of funding. There may be some unpaved roads around there, but nothing a Toyota Camry couldn't do.

George Washington National Forest is my recommendation. It is in VA about 2.5 hours west of Frederick, MD. I have taken my truck up there, wasnt bad, thats more trails than just mud though.

From their website ( http://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclands/orv.asp ) they have closed some of the ORV(off-road-vehicle) trails. Those trails are for atv's, snowmobiles and dirt bikes, not trucks.

I have camped in the Green Ridge State Forest several times and I can tell you from personal experience that there are several "roads" that a car cannot go down without risking serious damage. I am not suggesting these roads are mud trails or anything outrageous, but they are more than just a dirt road.

I have not been there for a few years though, so maybe they have graded the roads to a smoother surface, otherwise, it is still a fun day in the woods on some decent roads.

What about North Beach? I used to live in Chesapeake Beach, not too far from there. Are their any mud trails down there?
