Cooper Discoverer M&S. I have had nothing but good experiences with these tires, you can also stud them if you want. They are relatively inexpensive compared to more common brands such as Michelin Latitude Alpin, and Bridgestone Blizzaks but are just as good.

I've heard good things about the hakkapelita LT winter tires. Not sure if they come in your sizing though.

I have always had the Blizzaks or Toyo winter tires on my vehicles. Way better then any studded tire on the market I think. Studs are great for going but when it comes to stopping its like your on little ice skates I found. I had them on my truck for like a week then swapped them out for Blizzaks a way better tire overall.

I've heard that the Cooper Zeon LTZ are a good all round tire for year round including winter.

Do we really need winter tires on a 4x4 F150?
My previous truck (2007 Mazda B3000) I had them on as my all season ones slipped too much as well as it was only 2WD.

I just got my F150 and she came with Pirelli Scorpions...

I commute to downtown Calgary from Langdon (75 km round trip).

Thanks!

Yes and no. I live in the country, so my biggest obstacle in winter is snow, which basically any decent tread, and 4x4 can handle. In the city I think ice and snow tires are very beneficial. The stopping and starting on streets as they get packed and glazed is much better. I've yet to meet anyone who has put ice tires on anything regret their decision.
