Default Insurance Problems

I live in Oshawa Ontario, and i am having a hard time finding an insurance company that will allow me to raise a truck. i talked to several reputable insurance companies, and they told me that any modifications that will affect the centre of gravity i.e. suspension lift, body lift, larger tires other than stock, they will not cover. Does anyone know an insurance company, in ontario, that will allow such modifications?

Mine "primmum" will not allow any performance enhancing mods. Yes that includes such things as a K & N air filter! My son wanted to do some things to his truck and can't. So he shopped around for other insurance that allows mods. They are easy to find but his rate doubled with each of them. I live in Ontario

I've called 6 different places so far and they all say the same thing. No modifications allowed. I'm really pissed. I don't want a truck that looks like every other truck on the road. If anyone knows of a company that allows modification, please let me know.

I insured my truck through State Farm when I bought it. I left years later and have since done some pretty big performance mods. I went back to State Farm a few months ago and took the lady out there to look at the truck. She said that she didn't care what was under the hood. It made no difference at all. The only thing she suggested was possibly getting together my receipts, if anything happened, they would need proof that I dropped extra dollars on the truck.

SC, Wheels, tires, Gauges and pods, leather....etc

do you have State Farm up there?

I just asked my son what company told him he could lift his truck and I got "I don't know" for an answer. He's going to try and remember and let me know. I'll post if he does. Kids.....

but the thing that really pisses me off is that they charge more a newer truck than they would for an older truck? how does that work out? and if i have 4 wheel drive, theyll jack it up even more. really statefarm, this is alaska, having 4 wheel drive will save you guys money by not getting me into trouble on the ice hah
