Unhappy Worried Noob!

First i want to say hello to all and thanks for all the great reading.
Just purchased my N2Me 2nd F150. First was a 2002 reg cab sport V6. My newest one is a 2008 XLT SCab 4x4. I have been doing alot of reading as of late and am very glad i found this forum. I have used it to install the Gotts mod and a drop in K&N and love all the info on how to do it and all the great pics. As i am new to the V8 world i have been reading and all the posts about Cam Phaser problems has me worried. I do understand due to the nature of this forum there will be more negative posts than there are actual problems. Saying that i would appreciate if y'all can listen to mine and see if you think this is a Cam Phaser problem or this is normal. It only has 12k miles and a mechanic friend of mine did a quick check on it before i bought it and he didint think there was anything wrong. Please check out my youtube video and let me know what you think. I apologize for the poor quality as this was taken with my iPhone. Thanks again!

I thought I read on these forums where the cam phaser problems were mainly with the 04-05 models.

yea it sounds fine to me, if it was the phasers you would get a very noticable knock, and yea i do believe the phaser were a problem mainly with 04-05 and some early 06 years.

thats EXACTLY what mine sounds like. mine has been "diagnosed" with "loud injectors and lifters" and they said i can replace them but there is a better chance than not the engine will continue to sound like that.

I appreciate all the responses, thats what i figured, when i listened to episode 22 it sounded ok, just makes me feel better to get more opinions.
Again this forum is awsome and thanks again. To go an extra step im gonna change the oil today using synthetic and a Motorcraft filter. Not to open a can of worms but does anyone really believe there is extra value in using K&N oil filters?

i was told that our 5.4 motors really really like the motorcraft filters so i went ahead and got one when i did mine. I put Mobil1 Full Syn in it and it made some difference right away. but after about 500 miles it is back. but it is a nice piece of mind that you have full syn in it and can go 5-7k(some go more) without having to worry about the oil.
